The Black Donnelly's are a group of well seasoned, homegrown Irish musicians from Dublin, Ireland.
They have been performing at festivals and gigs all over the globe for many years from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, to Maui Hawaii, Miami to Chicago, Berlin to Paris and all the way back to Las Vegas, where they hold a residency at Rira Irish venue in the Mandalay Bay Casino.
The band consists of Dave Browne (Guinness world record breaking guitarist) and Dave Rooney (Best Irish singer/songwriter of the year), who are a high energy dynamic duo with a huge repertoire covering all genres of Irish Music, Irish Traditional, Celtic rock and Folk . The band has recorded and performed with many legends of Irish music including, The Dubliners Ronnie Drew, Terry Woods (The Pogues), John Spillane, Christy Dignam (Aslan) Johnny Logan and Picture house.
The have also opened up for many other Irish greats, such as The Furey brothers, The Saw Doctors, Madness, Derek Warfield & The Young Wolfe Tones, Phil Coulter and Liam Reilly of Bagatelle.
The Black Donnelly’s hold two Guinness World Records between them for the longest running guitar solo and for the longest running concert so beware that when you attend this wonderful concert at The Common Grounds you might not get to leave for two days.
